Popular Post Dr Boom
Delving into my Bones IV Core set, the first bag I pulled out had the townsfolk in it. I'm planning to do these three at a time. First up, the Milk Maid. Nothing really special, but a lot of detail on the face on this one. Next up, the Sage. I realised halfway through painting his underrobe that it was going to match the scrolls pretty closely, so I tried to highlight up the two separately. And lastly the Dancing Girl, based on the metal figure called Nemesra. Once again, I tried a darker skin tone and then experimented with a bit of sheer fabric.
Iridil
Great trio - love the freehand on the milkmaid's dress. 2
Moderator Chaoswolf Posted August 1, 2022 Moderator Share Posted August 1, 2022 Great job on all three! I agree with Iridil about the freehand on her apron. 2
ReapingBuffalo
Excellent work on all three! The milkmaid is my favorite, like Iridil and Chaoswolf say about the free hand and small detail but i really like what you did with her bucket. On the sage, well done sneaking those eyes behind the glasses. The dancing girl, i like the contrast you have with the blue of her dress against her dark skin and lastly i applaud you for your experimentation on sheer fabric, i think its a nice touch. 1

Grand Slam
Man..makes me want to finish up my Bones V townsfolk. Nice-looking bunch. As everyone has said, the freehand on the milkmaid's robe is a great touch (and is well done). I also like the bucket, her face, and the overall color scheme of her outfit The sage came out nicely, too. I'm very impressed by the way you popped those eyes behind the glasses. Good call highlighting the scrolls and clothing separately. At that andle, he could also pass for a cinnamon roll salesman 🙂 And, finally, the dancing girl. This is another great color scheme and an admirable effort on the sheer clothing effect (I still need to get around to trying it...it always looks so cool). The metallic accent colors that you used are perfect.
