One (hopefully easy) Submissions Question

I wasn't able to find this in the existing threads, so here we go.  Would I be able to pre-register a mini and send it along with a friend so it's there by Friday?  I'm unable to attend until Saturday due to work obligations, and I'm considering getting one of the VIP passes so I wouldn't have a one day pass, as the rules stipulate for a late entry.

It's about halfway down the page in the Other Rules section: 

 

"All entries submitted for judging must be modeled/painted personally by the original modeler/painter. The discovery that a person entered for judging an exhibit they did not personally create will result in the barring of that individual from all future Reaper Miniatures, ReaperCon and Master Series Open events."

In other words, no your friend cannot enter your work, in either your name or his.

Is there something in the VIP pass that you’re wanting? Otherwise, a Saturday only ticket would allow you to enter the painting contest on that day.
 

Biggest benefit of the VIP pass is the first cut at classes, but that’s long passed.

I mostly just wanted the extra goodies that come with it.

Hmm. Difficult to see, the future is. I almost want to say that with the $80 difference, you could pick up those goodies at Reaper's exhibitor booth. But, there's the risk the goodies you want could be gone by Saturday. And buying the VIP and a Saturday pass both just to enter the contest seems off.

 

Guess there's no easy solution.

Hello! I contacted the executive director of the MSP Open to check with him (Michael Proctor). Since both you and your entry will be at the same year's show, he has no problem with you filling out the pre-registration form and having a friend drop off your entry/ies on Friday.
