Qwyksilver
It's really more about practice for me than anything right now. Also, I've only just recently started using the W&N series 7 brushes, so it's been a challenge to relearn my painting because of how these brushes handle compared to my old ones. I've already killed a couple minis with washes just because these brushes hold so much more paint than I was used to. I've always blotted and rinsed obsessively. The good thing is, every mistake I make, is more practice
FuzzyIzmit
Thats a great idea with the righty/lefty eye practice tip, Awong. I might have to try that one out!
Cerridwyn1st
Well, Qwik, it sounds like you are doing everything right, just need the practice. Don't forget to hold the mini tilted back and use the lid of the eye to catch your brush, practice lots, and you'll get it. Maybe. I'm a fairly good painter, and eyes still make me nuts. It does always seem that one eye is perfect and the other looks nasty,
comicbkguy
Sometimes I will flip the piece over on a more difficult figure and paint the eye upside down. Something about it helps me. Maybe because the eyes are easier to reach that way?
