Example: Start in Space with Battlefleet Gothic, the winner invades the homeplanet of the losing side starting with a skirmish game to set up a beach head, followed by a full out 40K battle.

Or a Mordheim Skirmish game being followed by a large WHFB/AOS battle, resulting in a huge war with the Warmaster Game?

 

 

I've noodled with having my medieval 5e players get teleported/dropped into an alternative future earth where the characters transmorph into Gamma World characters.  I keep hoping someone would build a nice 5e version gamma world that I could just lift, I just don't quite have the time to home brew it...

Most of my LoTR armies are pretty much complete. There are a few I will never collect, because they are just too expensive. I'm looking for suitable proxies. I have been collecting enough of the LoTR minis so that I can play through the scenarios. If I ever paint another warrior of Minas Tirith it will be too soon. I also believe I now have more orcs than the Dark Lord himself. 

 

I really am a sucker for skin tones. I think I have every version of skin paints available in my area. Humans should be a variety of hues in fantasy worlds, too.

Yes, I love such terrain.

Yes, I have plans for building many to make a large town to small city.

Yes, I think it's a cool idea, others may not, but it's a secret so no one else steals it. And it may possibly take up my entire basement, which really needs cleared out first.

 

Side note to this: I used to have a thread bookmarked of a project a forum user once did where he built his own small city, but the bookmark stopped working at some point in the past two(ish) years. Used to be in the terrain subforum. I can't remember the forumite, or what they called their city, but it was very nicely done.

While just about everything I make could be used in a game, it is intrinsically peaceful.

I am currently working slowly on replacing the terrain boards I left with Folk in Texas. The Swamp with Witches' & Goblin settlements, Spooky Woods, & a possible expansion of Heap's Mushroom Distillery & Bat Poop Farm are in the works.

Making model buildings predates my love of miniatures. A a boy making HO buildings was my thing even though an actual model railroad was beyond my means.

Although I don't have mich room for it, I love such things.

Maybe I'm backing Twin Goddess who's making some 3d files in a KS for bands and their stages, Fantasy style.

I could create a concert then with food stands and all..it would be neat.

I've plans on building a HexHog Terrain Tile board for Infinity, because nowhere near enough outdoor boards are done up, way too many are downtown districts.  Sure, it's harder to pull off but I hope it will look rather nice.  Just a case of spending a bunch of time printing, wheee!

I've been building a little market square over the past several months. It's got a couple of stalls, some carts full of goods, merchants, townsfolk, a nice fountain, some statues, and a little open air eatery so far. I've still got plans for some cobble tiles to put it all on and some buildings to close it all in. And then maybe a few more vendors. It's kind of fun and peaceful. It's done enough that it hit the table last time we played. The group even commented it looked like a nice place to go shop. Then their characters arrived and everything immediately got really chaotic.

Though I have no terrain in my possession, I am well equipped to create some. Be it from existing minis, 3D files, papercraft plans, or tons of arts and crafts materials laying about.

 

If I ever GM again, and have storage for it, I may flex my creativity.

 

No specific ideas for a game, but a few for dioramas or display pieces.

All terrain is combat terrain. There's just before and after. I'm slowly adding to my terrain all the time. A large part of what I have is fantasy ruins because our most played games need them but I have made a few undestroyed buildings. Another large part is generic nature terrain, hills, trees, rivers and such. No real cool ideas for the future but have plans for more scifi scatter terrain and buildings, different sizes of rivers and small scale buildings for WW2.

I generally build terrain with the plan that it will be used in a game of some sort.

The only real exception was a castle wall that I build specifically for using as a display shelf and the back of one of my shelves.  Had plans for more but haven't gotten around to it.....

I don't really have any.  Storage would be an issue.  so I don't really have the urge to make any -
unless I'm looking at 3d files on kickstarters - then I drool over them. 
My terrain is mostly ruined towers from reaper, dioramas and a single bridge I built from foam.

I'd call that a diorama.  I am working on a piece like that, it is a house with a garden. The house is about 3cm high.  It is an ongoing project that will take time to complete.
