QUESTION SEPT. 7th.

When attending a Con you acquire stuff like the Ribbons from Reapercon and maybe other stuff like buttons/patches etc etc.

Same goes for any event where you get swag bags/collectibles etc.

What do you do with these when the Con is over?

Badge and ribbons get hung from curtain rod.  Patches and buttons go on my Nerd Vest or Reaper Keeper.

Other things like pens and stickers or note books pile up in a box until I need them.

Pretty much what he said, except for the patches/buttons part; I haven't come up with something to do with those  yet.

I have my badges with ribbons and other stuff hung on my cowboy hat that sits on top of my first bookcase in the basement man cave.

QUESTION Sept. 5th.

The Con is over.

How was it for you?

Seen great costumes/played a cool game/met nice people?

Tell us about it.

For the ones who didn't go.

It's Monday again.

How was your weekend?

Do you look forward to something

I had Monday off for Labor Day, so it was still the weekend. I got a swing bench put together, did some cleaning, started sorting out my paints (they got all disorganized when we moved), and was overall, pretty productive.

QUESTION SEPT. 6th.

Do you use the same character in different games?

This can also apply to PC /video games

Credit to Inarah!

My characters don’t usually make appearances in other games. I do reuse names in video games, but that’s about it.

I haven't actually been to a Con in over a decade.

I did get a badge,  lanyard, etc. from the virtual Reapercon and those are in a box. I reckon that if I get a permanent hobby area they will go on display. Stickers sometimes make it onto paint/ mini storage as a way to ID them.

I tend not to collect such things, as I'd wind up generally just tossing them.  Swag bags I'll only get if there are things in them I know for sure I'll want, and then I keep what I want, gift things to others, and...

... Hey, I live in a one bedroom apartment with hubby, and I've also never really done the acquire swag thing so....  Ah unno, guess it just isn't my thing.

Now, artwork con badges, as well as badges for specific special events I've been part of?  Those get treasured for a long while, that's for sure, and usually are displayed.  I think I still have my St John's Ambulance badge from the IGU World Triathlon in 2001 or 2002 where I was "coerced" into the suit.  No, not the dragon, the local branch's Dalmatian with a totally unique name (yup, he's called Spot)

Right now the badge and attached ribbons are hanging in the other room. Haven't decided what to do with them long term yet.

Saved, although I've discovered that the ribbons really need to be sewn together if I want the tail to hold; the glue doesn't last too well.

I managed to get one sewn together and hung, I've got a couple more to do yet..

Patches.. er.. I have a couple of things with suitable velcro for the velcro'd patches, the others either get slapped on my con bag, or saved for .. something.

Stickers and other goodies get saved; and.. I have an ita bag incoming Soon (TM) for pins... although I've been known to put buttons on my badge holder.

I have some mementos, actually not from Cons but from several Air Force things like Tiger Meets etc.

Coins/Stickers/Patches, I keep them in a drawer at work and some things are at the wall in my office there.

Hobby related I have some stickers and patches which I usually put in/on my painting cases.

Generally, most things get stacked up on my shelves according to which interest they belong to - my Rocky Horror collection of con badges and "crap bags" of throwables from various shows are upstairs in my bedroom on one shelf, while all my ReaperCon stuff is down here in the basement with me, in a drawer in one of those large plastic three-drawer storage thingies I keep stuffed under the desk I use for mini storage. I generally, keep all the stuff from each Swag Bag together in the bag it came in except for minis, pens and paint cups, which get sorted into their own collections - I have a different drawer for my collection of Reaper special or limited-edition minis, as well as older stuff like the Silver Age Sentinels.

In our old house Con Badges ended up hung over the back side of a door from over the top of the door hat and coat hangers.

So far I haven't gotten to that level of organization of the new digs.

On the other stuff, my Niffler Running Mate, Nick Anything has certain items he is in charge of so they will be found on or near his current place of repose.

Right now he is sporting a new suitably sized Top Hat and very cool Steampunk Glasses with side shields and rotatable smoked glass lenses.

This in addition to an assortment of buttons and trinkets.

Everything else ends up in a drawer or box.

QUESTION SEPT 8Th.

You have all the money/room/resources needed, what ( Hobby Related!) will you create/buy/build?

A bigger house, obviously.

There will be many bookshelves.

A huge D&D Dungeon Room?

A huge gaming room with one of those spiffing game tables with the raised sides, cup holders, and the whole nine yards. There is also a separate painting studio, with nice paint racks, a lab mixer, foam cutters, big crafting room.

A Life-size Succubus?

Nooo-oo-o-o

Not that.

A Dragon in your backyard?

Once upon a time I saw this sea serpent sculpture that was meant to be put in a garden or a lawn . . .

I know this: no messing about with garden gnomes.

A couple of bronze griffins flanking the front door would be nice.

Best that comes to mind would be a combined audio fun and painting area, although I no longer want the wall of synthesizers like I did ten years ago.  It would be reasonably simple... A nice 30-36" airbrush booth alongside enough desk space to have dedicated areas for assembly and painting as well as a second separate area for such and longer term kits (say scale models or gunpla getting a lot of work).  A dedicated display area wouldn't hurt either.

And since it falls under hobbying, there would be in another room a dedicated area to play as well.  Painting area would have a lockable door, mostly to keep out doggos (you said ultimate area, so yeah, of course it's a house and we have our desired dogoos) but also for peace of mind while friends or family are visiting (some people for some reason even when told can't help but touch and fiddle with various things)

A ventilated room for Resin 3 d printer and Laser cutter.  I have access to a Laser cutter (when they are working, they are down a lot) at our local Library's Innovation Center.

A large room, one side has a PC gaming set up and consoles with a big screen and all the games etc.

On the other side, a huge table on which I will build a Fantasy World where I can display all the armies and critters.

Desert/Jungle/Ocean/Underdark/Undead Terrain/Winter Terrain etc etc.

And yes it will have two floors to accomodate the underdark/dungeon stuff.
