Count Urlik
Jon walked through some screenshots of the interface on todays Reaperland. It should definitely be an improvement. He covered the class sizing, real time tracking of available slots and some other details. I couldn’t watch it all, but I may circle back.

haldir
I took a look at tabletop.events yesterday & I have to admit, I like it & I was just browsing the entire homepage. I have hope reg & use will be easy & will make Blowtix a thing of the past in allot of people's memories.

While I didn't really have too much a problem with Blowtix (sorry but this is only way I'll type that name), mainly cause I didn't sign up for classes. Obviously I used it for reg & for game sign up. I do sympathize for the players that signed up for my games. Mainly, trying to find which table I'm actually at, thou I'm not exactly sure that was all Blowtix's fault.... (again, that whole communication thing rears it's ugly head again....)

History shows nothing happens that day as far as rpgs go, at least for me, so it appears I'll be running 2 games per day from Thursday to Saturday. A total of 6 games, I don't mind that, I just gotta figure out what game I'm toss out of the selection I have planned now. A couple of games are simple affairs that I think won't go the time limit I've set, which is 4 hrs each, with one game I've set at 5 hrs. Looking forward to running these adventures & tbh, I'm actually looking forward to the prep or at least continuation of the prep, as RCon games actually make me want to paint & such. Weekly game(s) don't give me that due to the time between games. My husband and I were looking for games for Sunday last year, and there weren't many. We like to stay til Monday, so having a game on Sunday would be great.

I did have quite a few people walk by & wanted to play, but overall they had to be elsewhere, etc etc. I've got my schedule ready to post when ever I can do so, I may re-think one game & throw a game up on Sunday.
Moderator Guindyloo Posted February 10 Moderator Share Posted February 10 (edited) First of all, if you didn't catch Reaper Live last night - be forewarned that the link for the con hotel is going to go up on Friday, February 17th at NOON Reaper time (that's noon central US time, give or take a few minutes) the link will be on the https://reapercon.com/ website, which will be edited with new 2023 info soon. I'm sure Jon will talk more about it today on Reaperland which is on https://www.twitch.tv/reaperminiatures at 3pm central US time on Fridays. (ETA: Except it won't be on today!) Secondly, I unpinned most of the 2022 threads in this forum so that it doesn't start getting confusing as we have new 2023 threads popping up with relevant info, however, I purposefully left the 2022 picture thread pinned for the time being. I'll unpin it as things get closer, but thought y'all might like to still be able to find that easily for now. 🖤 Edited February 10 by Guindyloo 1
Cranky Dog
Should we start a room sharing thread? I'm not the only one who goes to RCon solo, so knowing I'll share a room right off the bat can make things less stressful during the initial room booking rush. Especially since I'll be working outside my usual office with limited bandwidth and/or it may completely slip my mind.

Also, I have a roomie, but we are both gonna go after a room, so if we both get one, I'll be releasing my room after a bit. I'll let everyone on here know when I do, so if someone doesn't get one, they'll have a chance at it. I did the transfer thing (hey @Count Urlik!) & it ended up being a pain doing person to person, so I'm just gonna release to the wild this time around. Moderator OneBoot Posted February 15 Moderator Share Posted February 15 I wish Southwest flew out of my airport, but it's probably too small. I will probably end up going with Alaska again, unless there's a clear price difference in Delta. Unrelated, it's 95% certain that MrBoot will be joining me this year! He plans to teach his system-neutral "How to run faster combat" panel that's been very popular when he's taught it in the past. I won't count anything as 100% certain, though, until I see his class on the schedule and/or we've bought his plane ticket. But it's very nearly a sure thing! I know this because he's been occasionally referencing it, like "When we are at ReaperCon," etc. To say I'm ridiculously excited would be an understatement. Huzzah! --OneBoot 🙂

I'm pretty sure I know several DMs that would love to take that class! I hate how slow combat can be, and my husband is often telling people "Act or dodge, Act or Dodge", and tries to let people know when their turn is coming up so they are ready, but way too often people don't start looking at what they can do until it is their turn. So frustrating!!! And I completely feel you on the ridiculously excited part! I've already got several more people interested in coming!!!
