The room is booked!

2 queen beds, two rooms, so an extra sleeper couch for an extra guest! I already have a roommate, but I'm open for a third to split the costs even more.

[Excitement levels rising]

EDIT: My original roommate also scored a 2 queen-2 room suite. So either one of us cancels, or we wait to open up for more late comers. For now, I'll wait.

Seemed much smoother this year... lol
I dont know why the default dates on the main hotel were set that way.

Well, if there wasn’t a glitch of some sort, it wouldn’t be a proper event!

huh my roommate booked the room last year and it only worked when he went shortened to thursday-saturday nights
it did not occur to me to ask the hotel to extend it a day, I  just made do.

thanks for the suggestions

Call the hotel! They will admend your reservation. I got the Reaper rate for Weds to Monday via phone around 10 am my time (mtn, so an hour before).

Well at least Reaper has gotten past the wrong dates on the Reminder magnet phase of ReaperCon. :poke:

Not to be 'that girl', but do we know when the next block will drop? 🙂

I booked a room outside the block, but they are happy to change it when more rooms are available. But they can't call me when it happens.

Just curious! looking forward to seeing everyone!

We don't know.  You will see outlying hotels open up next, the ones across the highway or down the road.  *IF* Reaper gets additional rooms at the convention hotel, it will be weeks or months from now.

If you got on a wait list, there will undoubtedly be some rooms opening up later in the year as people change plans.

These room rates really confused me.  Last year I booked late, and ended up in a room in the Best Western for ~$120 per night.  This was not a big deal at all, since I can drive to Denton (I'm only about a 3.5 hour drive away, just south of Austin), but I thought about trying to book at the Embassy Suites this year.  When I checked the rates, they showed up at about $300 per night; I did not notice that the dates were wrong.  After reading this thread, I know that the dates were wrong, but of course the reduced-rate rooms are gone.  What is the Embassy Suites discount price?  I'd probably try to go cheaper anyway (like I said, having a car makes staying at a different hotel fine), but I am really curious.

I had to go with a hotel i could afford tues-tues. Anyone familiar with stay bridge suites?  They sounded good on Expedia, though I wonder what they mean by included kitchen.  Like, do I get a stove?

You'll probably get a kitchenette.  Think small studio apt.

I think the rate is around 130 + taxes this year.
